Starr Lang, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a graduate of Georgia College and State University, with a Master of Science in Nursing. She previously received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from American Military University, her Associate Degree in Nursing from Tri-County Technical College, as well as attended Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sam in Houston, TX and Combat Medic School at Fort Drum in New York. Starr is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Before coming to Oconee Valley Healthcare, Starr worked for AnMed Health in Anderson, SC in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and ICU, South Georgia Medical Center in Nashville, GA, and St. Mary’s Center for Wound Healing in Athens, GA. She also spent 10 years working as an Army National Guard medic, and commissioned in the Georgia Army National Guard as a nurse after that. She has been awarded the Extraordinary Medial of Achievement and has been named as a Women’s Healthcare Hero. Starr’s interests in the field include Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Army Medicine.
Starr is a native of Clemson, SC (Go Tigers!). After marrying, she moved to Georgia. Starr has four children, and loves swimming, boating, and anything with her family!
